Living In Full Empowerment (L.I.F.E.) Singles Ministry is a network of Christian Singles that motivate and encourage other singles to adopt a lifestyle of moral Christian character and integrity.  We look to strengthen and enrich the spiritual lives of all those who are not married, as well as provide a social outlet for networking, fellowship, and healthy friendships.

The goal of the L.I.F.E. Ministry is to accomplish the following:
To provide monthly Word-focused enrichment settings in the form of seminars, workshops, and conferences
To host activities outside of church as opportunities for social networking
To lead and participate in community building and outreach projects
To partner with other Singles forums to further enhance spiritual and social growth

Adopt-A-Highway Program

Adopt-A-Highway began in 1985, on a stretch of Texas highway. Since 1985, 48 states and Puerto Rico, as well as countries in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, and Spain have instituted Adopt-A-Highway programs.

In Virginia, the program began in 1988. Now with more than 6,800 groups and 13,000 miles of adopted highway, it is one of the largest programs in the country. Adopt-a-Highway volunteers clean more than 13,000 miles of highways – about one-quarter of Virginia’s state-maintained roads – and provide the equivalent of roughly $3 million annually in litter-control services to the state.

The L.I.F.E. Singles Ministry is currently involved in the State of Virginia’s Adopt-A-Highway Program. The single adults have reached out into the community by "adopting" a 4-mile stretch of roadway in Woodbridge, VA. The L.I.F.E. Singles’ Adopt-A-Highway zone begins at the corner of Gideon Drive and Dale Boulevard and ends at the corner of Dale Blvd and Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1). As a result of our community commitment, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has posted signage identifying Hope Aglow Empowerment Center’s Singles Ministry. The single adults are committed to keeping "their" roadway free of debris and litter by planning at least four Adopt-A-Highway activities throughout the year.
